8 Week Summer Reading Camp

What To Expect
This Summer, slither into reading with our 8 week Reading to Reptiles summer camp. Over the course of eight weeks, your child(ren) will get the opportunity to read aloud to one of our ambassadors for 15-30 minutes a week (1 day/week). Our Early Reading Animal Literacy Program is meant to make reading fun for young readers k-6 in an engaging and stress-free environment. Camp will be held each Wednesday beginning May 27th, and will end July 1st, 2026. Selected books will be fictional stories based on animal themes.

What To Expect
Did you know that Utah is home to over 70 native species of reptiles and amphibians? Join US for some fun and adventure, as we explore the wild wonders that Utah County has to offer! This year there will be 8 Weeks of opportunities to see the reptiles, amphibians, and other critters who call our wild backyard home. classes will be Available Mondays & Thursdays, STARTING May 18th, and will be held weekly until August 6th. DEPENDENT on when we can make the Minimum Group Size (Four Participants).

Herping sessions will start at 9:30 AM and will go until 11:30 AM. Pick the days and weeks that work best for you and your family, and you friends! Locations will vary week to week, but will be within a 15 mile radius of Lehi, Utah.

AGES: 5-15 (not including parents/guardians)
NOTE: ALL children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian, or an older sibling who is 11 years of age or older.
Herping is the activity of seeking out and observing wildlife in nature, particularly reptiles and amphibians that reside in a specific geographical location.
